Clay Creative: Studio Visit and Moon Jar Demo with V. Chin

Join us for a rare in studio visit and demonstration by renowned potter Vorakit Chinookoswong.  V. Chin, as he is fondly known to students and collectors, is an accomplished potter and teacher.  He will demonstrate his method of creating a moon jar including throwing, carving, and decorating. 

V. Chin’s artistic objective is to simply create good ceramics.  He strives for elegance of form and glaze with a balance between aesthetics and function.  V. Chin is originally from Thailand and studied under master potters in Japan.  He has made Texas his home since the 1980s and has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Kyoto, Japan and through out Texas.
