Damon Thomas in Sculpture Month
“Contact,” a clay-focused multimedia installation by Damon Thomas, is on view through Dec. 4 as part of Sculpture Month Houston at SITE Gallery at The Silos at Sawyer Yards, 1502 Sawyer St., Suite 400. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 12-6. Damon will give an artist talk on Sat., Oct. 30 at 2 p.m.
“Contact” is one of 16 installations on view for Sculpture Month Houston. The gallery’s cavelike setting is ideal for this year’s theme, “Altamira: The Primal Urge to Create.” Damon’s installation is his imagining of how humans and wolves first encountered each other in the dark confines of a prehistoric cave.
