ClayHouston, is a dynamic organization of diverse ceramic artists: potters, sculptors, educators, students and people who simply love working with clay. Founded in 2004, ClayHouston members work to cultivate interest in the ceramic arts in the Houston metropolitan area and the Southeast region. The organization plays an active role in the Houston community by creating exhibits, symposia, festivals, sales and educational experiences that showcase ceramic arts and ceramic artists.

Our mission:

  • Provide for the needs of our member-artists by creating and hosting exhibits, artist talks, workshops, and bi-monthly ClayHouston meetings where members broaden vision, exchange information and share ideas.
  • Promote member-artists’ work with online profiles and galleries on the ClayHouston website.
  • Award scholarships to individuals for tuition, workshops and other opportunities to grow as clay artists.
  •
  •  Contribute the talents of the organization to community service projects. Click on our community outreach tab to see our current service projects.
